Georgia State Railroad Gallery
Designed to be a livable space for artists to stay at and an exhibition space for those artists, The Georgia State Railroad Gallery aims to combine the historic museum the site is on with the new building.
The Process
Wanting to replicate the curve of the round building across from my site, multiple iterations of a curved building were created but wanting to maintain a blended look with the historic buildings in the rest of the site, an L shape was created.

After a site visit as well as site analysis, I noticed most of the pedestrian circulation was around the round building and the few surrounding buildings. This led me to keep the site and building closer to those main paths of circulation to allow for more use.
